Psychopharmacology &

Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy

A Paradigm Shift

in Psychiatric & Mental Health Services

While we are discourage by the FDAs decision not to approve MDMA for treatment of PTSD at this time, we remain hopeful about the future of psychedelic treatment. We continue to see strongly compelling evidence supporting the use of psilocybin, ibogaine, and other psychedelic medicines in the treatment of mental disorders. Phase 2 and 3 trials are underway for a variety of new medicines that will be coming before the FDA for approval in the next few years.

Members of Touchstone continue to train in the use of psychedelic assisted therapy techniques and we continue to apply these skills in ketamine treatment.

Several of the scientists I profile are convinced psychedelics could revolutionize mental healthcare and our understanding of the mind.
