About Me

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my role as a PMHNP includes evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.

I joined Touchstone Associates 3 years ago after working at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center’s psychiatric units and mental health outpatient clinic. Before that, I worked as an ICU nurse in the neurological unit at Maine Medical Center for ten years. In my previous life, I was a chef.

My ultimate goal is to help people achieve their best, healthiest, highest functioning versions of themselves for home, work, and school improvement.

Philosophy & Approach

My treatment philosophy is a holistic and integrative approach. Due to years of medical experience in the ICU, I am cognizant of medical issues that may be overlooked when a person presents with psychiatric symptoms. Identifying the underlying cause is paramount in achieving full remission of symptoms in these instances.

My scope of practice as a PMHNP includes prescribing psychoactive medications when indicated, whether short-term, long-term, or as needed. In most cases, complementary therapies are encouraged and recommended in addition to psychoactive medication.

My experience encompasses substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, ADHD, ODD, thought disorders, and personality disorders.

Training & Education

  • Board Certified Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, University of Southern Maine

  • Certificate is for psychedelic-assisted therapies, Naropa in Boulder, Colorado, expected 2024

Insurance & Payments

At this time, I am not in network with any insurance provider; however, I do offer superbills. Patients can pay in cash, check, health savings accounts, or credit card. You will receive a Good Faith Estimate upon finishing your intake assessment.
